Technology Services

The Shenandoah County Library System offers a variety of Technology Services use by our patrons.

Computers

Each Library location has computers available for use by our patrons and visitors.

County Library: Nine Adult, Five Children's, Three Young Adult, One Bilingual Language Early Literacy Station, One Genealogy, and One Microfilm.

Basye-Orkney: Four Adult and One Children's

Fort Valley: Three Adult, Two Children's, and Two Non-Internet Children's

Mt. Jackson: Four Adult, One Young Adult, and Two Children's, One Early Literacy

New Market: Five Adult, Two Children's, One Bilingual Language Early Literacy Station, and One Rosetta Stone Language Station

Strasburg: Seven Adult, One Young Adult, Two Children's, and One Early Literacy

Printing:
Each Library location has laser printing capability. All locations offer black and white laser prints. In addition to this, the County Library has a color laser printer.

Wireless:
All of our locations offer Wifi access to patrons with laptops and other devices that utilize Wifi wireless networking.

Copiers:
Each Library location offers self-service copiers.

Fax Services:
Library Locations (except Fort Valley) are able to help patrons with sending and receiving faxed documents.

Color Scanner:
The County Library has a color flatbed scanner for scanning documents and photographs. It is recommended that anyone using the scanner bring a USB based device to store their scanned files.

Portable Audio Players:
In order for patrons to try out down-loadable audio services, the each Library location has a Portable Audio Player for a special One-Time checkout.

Enlarger:
For patrons with low vision capability, the County Library has an advanced color enlarger available for use in the Library.

CD/Tape Players:
As a service to our Outreach Patrons, the County Library has CD/Tape Players available.
