Technology Committee

Advises Technology Coordinator & Library Director in following areas:

  • Foundation Technology & Training funds
  • County Operating County Budget & CIP requests

Functions as resource and sounding board for Technology Coordinator & Library Director

Assists Technology Coordinator & Library Director with technology planning and implementation:

  • Network
  • Telecommunications
  • Hardware
  • Software
  • Related Equipment (multimedia projectors, digital cameras, scanners, video recorders, etc.)

Report to Library Board in following areas:

  • Policy & Budget recommendations
  • Strategic Planning
  • Ad hoc issues brought to committee by Library Director

Membership:
Director recruits three members from library community based on their expertise and knowledge of the library system

  • Library Director
  • County Computer Specialist
  • Library Technology Coordinators
  • Trustee representative
  • Additional staff as appropriate

Meetings

  • Called by Library Director as needed
  • Meet at least every six months
